Bangladesh’s Minister for Education and Primary and Mass Education A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon has instructed officials of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education to ensure the quick resolution of administrative problems faced by teachers coming from different parts of the country. Speaking at a discussion meeting with officials at the directorate’s auditorium in Dhaka, he emphasized that teachers should not have to move unnecessarily from one office to another for long periods in order to solve administrative issues. The minister said that matters related to teachers’ salaries, allowances, pensions, leave, transfers, training, and higher education opportunities should be resolved within a specified timeframe. He stressed the importance of introducing digital automation and modern systems to make the service delivery process faster, simpler, and more efficient. To ensure transparency and eliminate lobbying in the transfer process, he also directed officials to take steps toward implementing an artificial intelligence–based software system to manage teacher transfers. According to the minister, the government aims to develop a digital platform where service seekers can easily identify the relevant desk or official responsible for addressing their specific issue. He also highlighted the need for better coordination, open discussions, and mutual cooperation within the administrative structure to improve the overall working environment and increase the speed and quality of services in the education sector. During the meeting, officials raised certain limitations in the current online systems and software management, after which the minister instructed them to resolve those problems promptly to make administrative operations more dynamic and transparent.
