Nepal’s Foreign Minister Arrives in Dhaka to Pay Tribute to Khaleda Zia

Nepal’s Foreign Minister Bala Nanda Sharma has arrived in Dhaka to pay his final respects to former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

He reached Dhaka shortly before midnight on Tuesday and was received at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

The visit is part of his participation in the funeral prayer and tribute ceremony for Begum Khaleda Zia.

Arrival of Foreign Delegations

Pakistan’s National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka today to attend the funeral.

Additionally, India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Bhutan’s Foreign Minister D.N. Dhungyel, the Maldives President’s Special Envoy and Higher Education Minister Ali Haidar Ahmed, and Sri Lanka’s Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath are also expected to arrive.

Senior representatives from several countries are visiting Dhaka to express condolences and pay tribute following the passing of Begum Khaleda Zia.
