Finance and Planning Minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury has been admitted to United Hospital in the capital due to health complications. He was visited by Local Government Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, who went to the hospital to inquire about his condition.

On Monday evening, Mirza Fakhrul visited the Gulshan-based hospital to check on his longtime political colleague and fellow cabinet member. According to hospital sources, he spoke in detail with the attending physicians and was briefed on the progress of the minister’s treatment. He also expressed his wishes for the finance minister’s speedy recovery.

Prime Minister’s Adviser Mahdi Amin was present at the bedside during the visit. He too held discussions with doctors and assured that the government would extend all necessary support to ensure proper medical care. Sources indicated that the minister’s treatment is being given utmost priority.

The finance minister was admitted last Saturday after experiencing health problems. He is currently under close observation by specialist doctors. Necessary medical examinations are being conducted, and treatment procedures are ongoing.
