From Tuesday, passengers can recharge Rapid Pass and MRT Pass cards online without visiting stations. Payments can be made through bank credit cards, Bkash, Nagad, Rocket, or any other online banking service from anywhere in the country.
The official inauguration was held at Agargaon Metro Station in Dhaka, with Chief Guest Sheikh Moinuddin, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser (Road, Bridge & Rail). Additional guests included Additional Secretary Nikhil Kumar Das and Executive Director of Dhaka Transport Coordination Authority (DTCA) Nilima Akhter.
Sheikh Moinuddin described the service as a significant step towards digital transformation in public transport. Nikhil Kumar Das emphasized that it would ensure a faster, safer, and more transparent service for passengers. Nilima Akhter highlighted that passengers would save time and experience smart, hassle-free commuting through digital payments.
