Home Affairs Adviser Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has emphasized the need for a strategic and prudent approach in resolving border-related issues with neighboring countries. He stated that border surveillance must be strengthened to prevent criminals or terrorists from escaping across the border.
He made these remarks on Monday morning while addressing a reception organized at Pilkhana on the occasion of Border Guard Day.
Firm Stance Against Crime and Smuggling
The adviser stressed that smugglers and those involved in illegal activities along the border must be brought under the rule of law. He also urged border personnel to carry out their duties with integrity and dedication.
Commitment to a Credible Election
Regarding the upcoming national election, he said ensuring a festive, free, and acceptable election is a major responsibility. He expressed confidence that the government would be able to deliver a credible electoral process.
