BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has alleged that although Sheikh Hasina has left the country, her loyalists remain active within the administration, police, and government offices, conspiring to destabilize Bangladesh.
Speaking to journalists on Sunday night after visiting the family of a child who died in a fire in Lakshmipur, Rizvi said these groups are deliberately working to sabotage the upcoming national election and portray the country as unstable.
He claimed that recent incidents—including political killings in Dhaka, an attack on a BNP candidate in Chattogram, and arson at a BNP leader’s home in Lakshmipur—are all part of a coordinated conspiracy.
Rizvi further stated that despite living abroad, Sheikh Hasina and her allies continue to orchestrate anti-state activities through various means. According to him, having lost access to power and resources, these groups are now attempting to disrupt peace and stability out of frustration.
Earlier, Rizvi visited injured BNP leader Belal Hossain at Lakshmipur Sadar Hospital and provided financial assistance for his treatment on behalf of the party.
