Maulana Mamunul Haque, Amir of Bangladesh Khilafat Majlis, stated at a public rally organized by the 11-party electoral alliance in Shariatpur Municipality that the people of Bangladesh demand change and that corruption- and terrorism-based politics will no longer continue. He emphasized that the dreams of justice and fairness for the people of independent Bangladesh have not yet been fulfilled and that for the past 54 years, ordinary citizens have faced exploitation in the name of governance. The countryâs economic and political conditions are increasingly unstable, often denying the public justice, leading to widespread frustration and discontent. He further stated that now is the time for citizens to stand up for their rights and welfare, as active public participation is essential to ensure any meaningful reform and development. In this context, he urged citizens to cast a 'Yes' vote in the referendum to implement the July revolution, pay tribute to the martyrs, and honor the fighters. The event, presided over by Jamayet-e-Islami Shariatpur district Amir Abdur Rob Hasemi, was attended by 11-party alliance candidate Jalaluddin Ahmed for Shariatpur-1 and other party leaders. Mamunul Haque stressed that this parliamentary election would symbolize reform and change, and if the people remain united and actively participate in voting, political and social development in the country can be achieved. He assured that transparency and justice would be established in governance and that the era of corruption and terrorism-driven policies could end, enabling Bangladesh to become a peaceful, prosperous, and well-governed nation. He also urged the public to remain aware of their rights, participate in all political movements and electoral processes, and play an active role in securing the countryâs future. Rally leaders acknowledged that citizen engagement is the main driving force behind political reform, and no single party or ruling group can bring change alone. Mamunul Haque concluded by appealing to the citizens to utilize their voting rights responsibly, protect justice, and ensure collective action against oppression to shape a better Bangladesh.
