BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said that the party, along with its affiliated and associate organizations, will move forward by following the ideals and path shown by Begum Khaleda Zia.
Remarks After Paying Tribute
He made the remarks on Saturday morning after the women’s wing of the party paid tribute at the graves of martyred President Ziaur Rahman and Begum Khaleda Zia at Zia Udyan in the capital.
Ideals and Commitment
Rizvi said that Begum Khaleda Zia’s political ideals, her commitment to the people, and her leadership philosophy will remain the foundation of BNP’s future politics. He added that the party’s acting chairman is also working to take the country forward by upholding the ideals of his parents.
Allegations Over Medical Treatment
He alleged that Begum Khaleda Zia was deliberately given improper medical treatment during her imprisonment, claiming that there were malicious intentions behind it.
Lesson of Democracy
Rizvi said that Begum Khaleda Zia taught the nation how to stand by the people and resist authoritarianism without compromise.
