Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has stated that the party believes in politics of action rather than politics of criticism. He made the remarks on Wednesday morning while addressing a roadside rally at the Kismat Daulatpur Dakhil Madrasa ground in Nargun Union under the Thakurgaon-1 constituency. In his speech, Mirza Fakhrul said that BNP’s political philosophy is rooted in practical solutions to public problems, not empty slogans or confrontational rhetoric. Referring to recent political developments, he noted that some new political actors have emerged who were previously unseen in the political arena. According to him, many of them once worked alongside BNP and are now contesting elections independently, which BNP does not oppose. However, he emphasized that political competition must be conducted with honesty and integrity, urging all parties to refrain from spreading falsehoods, personal attacks, and defamatory narratives. Mirza Fakhrul also highlighted the leadership of Tarique Rahman, describing him as a reflection of the ideals and vision of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman. He said that upon returning to active politics, Tarique Rahman presented a clear and structured plan for the country’s future. As part of that plan, BNP has pledged to create employment opportunities for ten million young people within one year. He further mentioned proposals such as introducing family cards for women, agriculture cards for farmers, and waiving agricultural loans up to BDT 10,000. Additionally, he stated that if BNP comes to power, the government will take responsibility for repaying loans taken from NGOs by ordinary citizens. Concluding his speech, Mirza Fakhrul urged voters to go to polling centers on election day and cast their votes for the Dhaner Sheesh 🌾 symbol, asserting that active public participation is essential for restoring democracy and ensuring accountable governance in the country.
