The BNP has moved to intensify diplomatic outreach, foreign contacts and domestic coordination around a referendum-centered political strategy aimed at replacing the government through a nonpartisan interim administration and fresh elections, which party leaders have framed as the “alternative path” for regime change during a recent high-level meeting; the leadership reaffirmed that while the party would publicly maintain a softer tone on movement and mobilization, its long-term objective remained unchanged, focusing on achieving international legitimacy, pressuring the ruling establishment and shaping Western discourse around elections, referendums and human rights; according to internal discussions, BNP plans to avoid mass street confrontations and keep Jamaat-e-Islami off the front-facing messaging for now, while simultaneously preparing for prolonged mobilization, strategic lobbying and capability to leverage spontaneous public unrest if it emerges in the coming months; the plan also includes expanding referendum narratives through public events, media messaging and digital campaigns, blending diplomatic momentum with organizational restructuring, which BNP believes will define its political trajectory for the immediate future.
