The Rajshahi University unit of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal has accused RAKSU General Secretary Ammar Salahuddin of engaging in conduct tantamount to terrorist activities. The organization alleged that a vested group is deliberately attempting to create chaos on campus by disrupting the academic environment.
In a statement sent to the media on Sunday night, Chhatra Dal said Ammar Salahuddin issued ultimatums to several deans through social media posts, accompanied by vulgar and threatening remarks. He also allegedly made statements about detaining teachers and officials in front of administrative buildings.
The statement described such behavior as unacceptable and unbecoming of a student leader, noting that threats, intimidation, and aggressive conduct toward teachers and staff are clear violations of a peaceful academic atmosphere and constitute acts of terror.
Chhatra Dal emphasized that if anyone is accused of wrongdoing, action should be taken strictly under existing laws with proper evidence. Attempts to destabilize the university through baseless tagging, intimidation, and provocation will not be tolerated.
The organization’s leaders warned that any attempt to humiliate or harass teachers would be strongly resisted and demanded exemplary punishment for those responsible.
