Leaders of the 11-party alliance held a meeting with Chief Election Commissioner A. M. M. Nasir Uddin to raise allegations of irregularities, vote rigging, and the overall post-election situation surrounding the 13th National Parliament election. The meeting began at 11:50 am on Sunday (15 February) at the Election Commission office in Agargaon, Dhaka, where senior alliance leaders discussed the current political reality, complaints received during the voting process, and the developments that followed the election. Those present at the meeting included Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Assistant Secretary General Dr. A. H. M. Hamidur Rahman Azad, liaison committee media coordinator of the 11-party alliance Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair, Jamaat leader Barrister Najibur Rahman Momen, Labour Party’s Mostafizur Rahman Iran, and central leaders of the NCP. During the meeting, the alliance representatives presented various allegations from different constituencies, including claims of irregularities at polling stations, obstacles to voters, influence and intimidation, and administrative bias. They urged the Election Commission to investigate these allegations thoroughly and take necessary measures. The leaders said that it is essential to consider these complaints seriously in order to maintain a transparent and credible electoral system, and that effective steps are needed to restore public confidence in the electoral process. The discussion also covered the post-election political situation, the formation of parliament, and the role of opposition political forces in the coming days. Earlier, on Saturday night (14 February), the meeting was confirmed through a press release, which stated that alliance leaders would exchange views with the Chief Election Commissioner regarding the post-election situation and the current political reality. The alliance leaders expressed hope that the Commission would give due importance to their concerns and take necessary investigative and administrative steps where required, so that no further controversy or questions arise regarding the election. They also emphasized that ensuring equal opportunities for all political parties is essential for strengthening democratic processes, and that the neutral role of the Election Commission is crucial in this regard. After the meeting, alliance leaders said they would continue dialogue with the Commission and gradually submit their observations and information regarding electoral irregularities, with the aim of creating an acceptable and participatory political environment in the country.
